Raheen a Cluig: Uncovering Bray's Forgotten Monastic Grange Exhibition. Drawings by 3rd Class Pupils of St. Cronin's School

On 17th November 2018 The Bray Medieval Project held a full day event in the local Cornerstone Church.  At this event the speakers at this event on ‘Granges’ relating particularly to Bray,  included Geraldine Stout among others who contribute much to providing a context for ‘Granges’ in this period.  One of the exhibitions at this event outlined the steps taken before and during the Raheen a Cluig excavations by the Bray Medieval Project volunteers. The other exhibition illustrated the imaginations of this site by school children from two classes in a local school.  The creativity of these pupils was nurtured by Sharon Wells who was also responsible for the accomplished drawings of artefacts from our excavations at Raheen a Cluig – thank you Sharon and the school for facilitating these drawings.   The drawings show the wealth of imagination in our young population.
