Location of Verdun Cottage

The Battle of Bloodybank was fought on the outskirts of Bray in 1402. Information about this local historical event and graphics were put in to the windows and the door of Verdun Cottage to brighten up this junction and to inform passers by.  Verdun Cottage is located opposite the old entrance to Ravenswell School on the junction between the Dublin Road and the Upper Dargle Road. The actual location of the Battle is nearby at Rathmore Terrace.

This was a community collaboration between Medieval Bray Project and Bray Tidy Towns.
